There are several ways of retrieving or viewing photos in the gallery.
Archive Categories

Each photo is cataloged by architectural characteristics (I-House), regional identification (Midwest); absolute location (Williamsport, Ohio); and by one or more general categories (folk housing, agriculture). Absolute Location
Each photo in this archive hs been assigned at least one indicator of the location of the photo. If precise coordinates are available, the photo is geotagged with latitude and longitude coordinates.City, county, state and ZIP code are also included in the archive when such data is available.When the actual location is unknown, an estimated location is assigned to the photo.
Region

Donating Slides or Slide Collections
The American Landscape Project actively seeks slide collections focusing on the American Landscape.
DON'T LEAVE THEM ON THE SHELF!
Geographers, Landscape Architects, Historians, Photographers and other assorted road warriors interested in donating slides or electronic images to The American Landscape Project should contact Steve Graves (818.677-3517).
Donated slides will be evaluated, scanned or digitally photographed, categorized and uploaded to the internet server.
Images with identifying captions (especially location) are most desired.
All photography will be credited to its original author in the searchable database, but a watermark, indicating copyright for The American Landscape Project will be placed on each digitally reproduced photograph published on the internet.
