Authentic Assessment in the K-12 Classroom Series

Text Box: You Get What You Assess and You Don’t Get
 What You Don’t Assess.

This series introduces a wide range of tools, strategies and activities that teachers can put to work in their classrooms the next day.  Assessment for learning strategies—including learning lists, learning logs, checklists, teacher-made tests and scoring rubrics provide teachers with the foundation they need to become skillful “kid watchers” and effective advocates for each student’s learning success—as well as social skill development.

The last training module of this series focuses on how the academic portfolio and eportfolio promotes student voice as it seamlessly engages parents and significant others in the achievement and success of each student.
