GWS Student Scholarship Award

Shannon L. Hamm Memorial Gender & Women Studies Scholarship

Every year the Gender and Women's Studies Department awards the Shannon L. Hamm Memorial Gender & Women's Studies scholarship to one or two outstanding GWS Juniors. This year, the application deadline is April 24th, 2009.

Application Requirements

    The applicant must be:
  1. A Gender and Women’s Studies Major
  2. A senior or, preferably, a junior during the current academic year
  3. Minimum 3.0 GPA
  4. Content and Length of Essay: Students submit a 500 word essay, to the Department Office on how majoring in Gender and Women's Studies has impacted your worldview and your life.
The scholarship amount changes annually. This year's winners will receive $400 and $300 respectively.
