Dr. Mukiibi holds a Ph.D in education and an MSC in textiles and clothing from the University of California, Davis.
She also has an MPhil in economics from the University of Glasgow and Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Nairobi, in Kenya. Her research focus has been in education and women, specifically the academic achievement of minority students in urban schools. Other interests include: multicultural education, women’s health and AIDS, third world women and economic development and identity construction among minority children. She teaches Introduction to Gender and Women’s Studies (GWS 200), Women, Work and Family (GWS210) and Gender, Race, Class and Sexuality (GWS 350).
