As a community-based organization, the center relies on volunteers to promote and sustain its ongoing programs of crisis intervention, advocacy, education, and prevention.
The rewards of volunteering for VTCC are many: helping people in crisis, working to end violence, receiving on-going training and supervision, educating the public about important social issues, assisting a long-standing community organization, and receiving state certification as a rape crisis advocate. This has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences in my life and I am both privileged and humbled to work with survivors in their time of need." - Julie Pietroski, Rape Crisis Advocate
