VTCC  is always looking for special people who are ready to make a commitment to becoming part of a unique team of dedicated individuals working daily as Rape Crisis Advocates, Counselor Trainees and Interns, and Prevention Educators. Volunteers are essential to the mission of VTCC. As a community-based organization, the center relies on volunteers to promote and sustain its ongoing programs of crisis intervention, advocacy, education, and prevention.

"Volunteering at the Valley Trauma Counseling Center has shaped the person that I am today. Although it has its challenges, the rewards are immeasurable.  It has taught me the beauty of reaching out to others and shown me what an effect I can have on another person's life.  It has truly been one of the best decisions of my life." - Nelly Farivar, Rape Crisis Advocate

The rewards of volunteering for VTCC are many: helping people in crisis, working to end violence, receiving on-going training and supervision, educating the public about important social issues, assisting a long-standing community organization, and receiving state certification as a rape crisis advocate.

"I am so happy that I found Valley Trauma Counseling Center both for the work I do with survivors and the staff I work with.  This has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences in my life and I am both privileged and humbled to work with survivors in their time of need." - Julie Pietroski, Rape Crisis Advocate
