Northridge — The University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students to jump-start the new semester with its annual “Spring Kickoff” celebration. On Thursday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., all Matadors can come to the Plaza del Sol at the USU to take part in fun activities and games, music, dancing, exclusive giveaways and tasty food — all completely FREE!
“We know it can be a little stressful for students to come back from the holiday break and be ready to start a new semester,” said Randy Sorensen, Events Supervisor, ‘Spring Kickoff’ is a fun, must-attend event that not only welcomes students back to school, but also gives them the motivation to start the spring semester strong.”
All students who attend have the chance to win cool prizes at “Spring Kickoff”. The USU will be giving away awesome CSUN swag, as well as a Fitbit wristband to help students make good on their New Year’s resolutions.
“Spring Kickoff” will also give Matadors an opportunity to test their sports skills with a basketball shootout and field goal kickoff. In addition, they can take part in giant versions of fun games such as Jenga. After playing, students can get up and groove to the hottest tunes spun by DJ Malski, or sit back with some free food to enjoy a performance from CSUN’s very own hip-hop dance crew, Fasmode.
