September 2, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Northridge — The Computer Lab at the University Student Union is inviting all CSUN students to take advantage of this fall’s USU Tech Series to enhance their computer skills for free. Workshops will take place Wednesday and Friday from
2 to 3 p.m. starting on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

“We want to encourage students to attend these free instructional workshops offered in the USU Tech Series at the Computer Lab,” said Computer Lab Coordinator, Nicholas Echeverri. “This is an easy and convenient way to learn how to better navigate through the most common programs used on the CSUN campus—whether you are a beginner or advanced level user.”

For the first time the Computer Lab is hosting a workshop on Campus Technol- ogy and Software as well as a Google Drive tutorial. “In just the past few years the digital complexion of CSUN has changed significantly,” said Echeverri. “These workshops are in response to what it means to be a student in this digital environment and our advances at CSUN.” Beginner and advanced classes are also available for the programs most frequently used by CSUN students including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Photoshop.

All classes are free, but space is limited to 25 students per class. Interested students can sign up at the USU Computer Lab prior to the scheduled class date or email . Sign up today to reserve your spot.
