SI or Supplemental Instruction classes (University 60) are peer-facilitated group study sessions designed to help students master difficult subject matter in classes with traditionally low pass rates. Students enroll to receive one unit credit or can attend as necessary.
The sessions are conducted by juniors, seniors or graduate students who have demonstrated superior competence in the subject area. SI leaders attend the targeted class, read the assigned material, and work with the professors. Sessions focus on understanding content while developing effective study strategies, note taking and problem solving skills, and preparing for exams.
