The Department of Physics and Astronomy's Nuclear Physics Laboratory will be open to interested staff, faculty and guests at 3 to 4 pm each Thursday in March. Room 1-100 in Live Oak Hall will have several operating alpha, beta and gamma spectrometers running and demonstrated by Senior Majors on March 5, 12, 19 and the 26. If you have an item which you suspect is radioactive bring it in for measurements. This service is partially sponsored by Community Engagement under Professor Joyce H. Burstein.
