March 14, 2014 Mini-Conference

CSU Northridge has partnered with Pierce College in Los Angeles, the CSU Office of the Chancellor, and AAC&U on a three year-long project to transform General Education (GE) from within.

The overall goal of the Paths project is to make GE more meaningful to students and to thereby increase retention and progress to the degree (Associate or Baccalaureate). The approach -- which we call GE Paths -- takes already existing GE courses across the curriculum and connects them through themes such as Global Studies, Social Justice, and Health and Wellness through faculty development, student engagement, and high impact practices.

The mini-conference will cover all aspects of how to start a program like this with a partner institution, on your own, or to join the CSUN/Pierce collaboration.
