Ongoing events

  • Students can still submit their FAFSA/Dream Act Application for 2017-2018. Read more about this opportunity.
  • Associated Students' Farmers Market: every Tuesday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on East University Drive (across from the USU).
  • Associated Students Awareness Month: various events throughout February, including free coffee, snacks, meals, and giveaways.
  • Conversation Swap at the LRC. Free snacks. Native English speakers and international students welcome!  Oviatt Library, 3rd floor. Tuesdays from 2-3 p.m.: 
  • USU Tech Series. Free workshops on various topics, from beginners to advanced. Offered Wednesdays (1-2 p.m.) and Fridays (3-4 p.m.). Sign-up required.

Spring 2017 

  • March 3 (Friday): VARJAM student competition kick-off meeting, 10 a.m.-12 noon, Ferman Presentation Room, Oviatt Library. Work in teams to develop either an Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) project. All majors welcome; no experience needed.
  • March 11-12 (Saturday night-Sunday morning): Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. Set clocks ahead ("spring forward") one hour.
  • March 14 (Tuesday): Water Day at CSUN. Movie, lecture, presentation. 9:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m., USU Northridge Center.
  • March 20-26 (Monday-Sunday): Spring Break. No instruction.
  • March 28-April 4 (Tuesday-Tuesday): online registration for CSUN summer classes for students with appointments.
  • March 31 (Friday): César Chavez Day Holiday. Campus is closed; no classes.
  • April 7 (Friday): CSUNposium: CSUN's 21st Annual Research & Creative Works Symposium
  • May 12 (Friday): last day of instruction for the spring semester.
  • May 13-19 (Saturday-Friday): Final examinations.
