* The Office of Assessment and the UDWPE are conducting a special pilot version of the UDWPE examination for the April test. Up to 200 students can participate in this pilot program. The exam will ask students to analyze a selected reading, utilizing critical thinking, quantitative reasoning and information competency skills. The benefits for students include two hours for the exam and the ability to take the exam in the computer lab. Exams will be scored using the same scoring criteria as the regular UDWPE exams.
For information on specific exam time and location, visit the Testing Calendar page.
If you miss the WPE date for which you registered, the fee cannot be rolled over to another exam date. You will have to re-register and pay for the exam again.
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS WHO REQUIRE SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS**
Non-Saturday testing is available for religious reasons. If your religious convictions prevent you from taking the exam on the scheduled exam date, please check the box for a religious accommodation during the registration process. Additional documentation is required to support your need for accommodations - see submission deadlines above. After registering for the exam, you must contact the Upper Division Writing Proficiency Exam office at firstname.lastname@example.org for further instructions.
