I am pleased to welcome you to the newest edition of California State University, Northridge's Community Services Guide.
Public higher education in California and throughout the nation faces serious challenges due to an unprecedented fiscal crisis. Although Cal State Northridge has been deeply affected by these challenges, the university is proud to maintain its mission of serving the community. The wide variety of outstanding programs and services we offer, many of which are highly affordable or free, is one of the ways we fulfill this goal. We are proud of the important contributions we make to our community through these outstanding programs and services, and invite you, our friends and neighbors, to utilize and enjoy them.
I hope that the array of resources available from the university will be of benefit to you, and that our regionally focused, nationally recognized institution can make a positive contribution to your life.
