Welcome
The Office of Government and Community Relations serves as the primary liaison between the university and government agencies and officials at the local, state and federal levels, providing information regarding campus programs and activities and working to meet the needs of our shared constituents. The office also assists the campus community in navigating a wide variety of government laws, regulations, programs and agencies.
This office also serves as your community connection to Cal State Northridge. We work with local business organizations, chambers of commerce, non-profit groups, homeowner associations and the community-at-large to keep them informed of programs and activities at the university that would be beneficial or of interest to them, to learn what needs must be met, explore avenues to provide university resources to meet those needs, and to be proactive in creating partnerships between these organizations and the university.

The City of Los Angeles, the Northridge East, West and South Neighborhood Councils, Cal State University Northridge and the North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce have launched an aggressive campaign to establish a vision and develop a strategic plan for the community of Northridge and Northridge Business District.
