Changes to Vaccination Requirement

Dear CSUN Students and Employees,

Happy Spring! We are more than half way through the semester and we hope it has been a wonderful one so far.

Vaccinations

Beginning immediately, vaccinations against COVID-19 are no longer required. The CSU COVID-19 Vaccination Policy has been updated to strongly recommend COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters for faculty, staff and students who are accessing university facilities or programs. Current vaccination and booster rates among the campus community remain high and COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are readily available through retail pharmacies, ambulatory care clinics, and through: www.vaccines.gov/.

Reporting and Contact Tracing

Despite the lifting of CSU policy requiring COVID vaccinations, if you have tested positive or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, please complete the relevant reporting form at Exposure and Reporting | California State University, Northridge (csun.edu).

We will continue contact tracing for our campus community and providing notification of potential building exposures on the Covid Dashboard | California State University, Northridge (csun.edu), consistent with CalOSHA and Los Angeles County Public Health Department guidelines.

Masking

We will continue to require masking at the Klotz Student Health Center for our staff, patients, and visitors. Additionally, for employees and students who test positive and are subsequently cleared to return to campus after their isolation period, masking may be required as directed by our contact tracers.

For individuals who prefer to wear masks, we welcome this and support your decision to do so.
