2016 Distinguished Alumni Awards Honorees Create an Emotional Evening

Influential CSUN alumni Shigemi Matsumoto ’68 (Music), Jim Ring ’70 (Psychology), ’72 (Urban Studies) and Robert D. Taylor ’82 (Engineering) each took the stage at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village on April 16 to share their emotional and moving experiences after receiving one of the university’s highest honors — the Distinguished Alumni Award. The 18th edition of one of CSUN’s signature events, the Distinguished Alumni Awards, was a night of reconnection, of recollection and filled with Matador pride.
