Restaurant and Meeting Space
The Orange Grove Bistro (OGB)/University Club currently occupies a portion of the site and will be replaced by the hotel, which will include a restaurant. One of the goals of the hotel project is to provide the campus community with a modern restaurant to replace the aging OGB and its mounting maintenance demands. Through a public-private partnership, CSUN intends to develop state-of-the-art restaurant and meeting facilities to better support the campus functions traditionally supported by the existing OGB. This development strategy results in the entire cost of construction, operations, and financing being borne by the Developer. It also allows CSUN to avoid the substantial deferred maintenance investments that would be necessary to keep the existing OGB facility in operation. The role of the University Club in CSUN history will be recognized in the hotel.
CSUN Dining will continue to provide catering services on campus.
