The university designated a review committee to evaluate hotel development proposals. The review committee included representatives from CSUN Administration & Finance, The University Corporation and the faculty.
The Request for Proposal included specific quality standards and service levels for the project, and CSUN’s Facilities Planning office have prepared design guidelines to ensure compatibility with campus architecture.
Per CSU Board of Trustees policy, all related master plan revisions, proposed schematic plans, financial plans, proposed key business points of the development plan, and the required environmental documents were approved by the CSU Board of Trustees prior to execution of any commitments for development and use of the property.
