FATE OF A COCKROACH
By Tawfiq Al-Hakim, trans. Denys Johnson-Davies
Directed by Ken Sawyer
Presented by special arrangement with Lynne Reinner, Publishers, Boulder & London
This sly satire is the Egyptian playwright’s 79th play and is, at turns, riotously comic, dark political allegory, and marital farce. Join the inquisitive cockroaches, their enemy ants, and a human family obsessing with one bug’s failing attempts to crawl out of their bathtub.
