PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

In order to participate in the Educational Talent Search program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Attend one of the target area schools:

    Region 1 Schools

    • Fulton College Preparatory School
    • Maclay Middle School
    • Pacoima Middle School
    • Sun Valley Middle School
    • Van Nuys Middle School
    • Francis Polytechnic High School
    • San Fernando High School
    • Van Nuys High School

    Region 2 Schools

    • Madison Middle School
    • Olive Vista Middle School
    • San Fernando Middle School
    • Vista Middle School
    • Grant High School
    • Monroe High School
    • Sylmar High School
  2. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Have completed the fifth grade and be between the ages of 11-27.
  4. Show potential to attend a post-secondary institution and need the program services offered to accomplish his/her educational goals.
  5. Have a demonstrated academic need.
  6. Have a desire to attend a postsecondary institution
