The first
page in any Web page should be saved as "index."
Starting off, you will need to have the proper file structure. For this assignment, it is crucial that you label and follow these directions.
Create and open your U-drive. Once you are in your U-drive, create a folder called 'public_html.' Anything that will be either a link, image or assignment will need to be in this folder. If it is not in this folder, your links will not work.
In the 'public_html' folder you will have
an 'image.'
Open up Netscape
Communicator
Once Netscape
Communicator has opened, go to 'File,' 'New,' 'Composer
A blank screen
will come up and on the title bar, it will read, "Untitled Composer"
You will need to save the document at this
time.
"File," "New," "Composer Page" will get you new pages.
"Insert" "image" will allow you to insert a graphic that is already in your "image" folder.
To create a hyperlink, you will highlight the text or select an image and "Insert," "Link" and place your location. (creating e-mail link, you will need to type in the text field, "mailto:tae.chang@csun.edu).
Changing background, "Format," "Page Colors and Properties."
Inserting tables, "Insert," "Table," and
"Table."
Some Web sites that will be of assistance,

icon).
In this assignment, you will have.
A homepage saved as 'index'
Text,
Three graphics from the Internet on each page, and
Three types of hyperlinks, 1) linking all
of your pages, 2) to the world wide web and 3) email.
Hints: your file name should all be in lower case and you should not leave a space between any file names. (examples of a good file names, "index," "daily_notes," "teaching_philosophy," and etc.)
Some recommendations to make your pages look outstanding, font, background, tables and etc.
