Driven by innovative spirit and Matador pride, Student Marketing & Communications (SM&C) develops, maintains, distributes and assesses campus communications and marketing with a student focus. Our team of creative experts delivers vital university information to targeted audiences through print and digital media.
SM&C communicates university-level messages to applicant, admitted and current students through various mediums, which may include printed correspondence, the myNorthridge Portal, email campaigns, video, the CSUN mobile application, social media and corresponding Division of Student Affairs websites.
In addition, SM&C provides services and material for Student Outreach and Recruitment Services (SOARS), including prospective student data through the Hobsons EMT Connect database; printed and electronic recruitment material for prospective students, their families, and high school and community college staff; event marketing and communications campaigns; electronic and printed communications for the Testing Center; and design, content-writing, analytics and maintenance services for unit websites, including the SOARS, College Portrait and myNorthridge prospective student pages. SM&C also hosts SOARS professional development workshops related to website design, the icon library, use of style guides and AP Style.
