Healthcare Services

A variety of services are offered to Faculty and Staff. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (818) 677-3666.

Urgent Care

Faculty and staff who are injured while on campus may utilize the Klotz Student Health Center for first aid services until arrangements can be made with their own health care providers. Anyone experiencing life-threatening symptoms is advised to call 911 for immediate assistance.

Acupuncture

As a complement to traditional western medicine, acupuncture deals with the energy flow of the body through channels called meridians. $40 per visit.

Chiropractic Care

Services focus on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effects on the nervous system and general health. $10 per visit.

CSUN/UCLA Dental Clinic

Basic dental care including exam, cleaning, x-rays, fillings, crowns and tooth whitening is available at the SHC. Delta Dental accepted.

CSUN/UC Berkeley Optometry Clinic

Basic services include eye exams, contact lens fittings and access to competitively priced frames and lenses. VSP accepted.

Flu Shots

Flu shots are available seasonally to faculty and staff. $17

Massage Therapy

Licensed massage therapists are available for 15 minute chair massage and 50 minute table massage. Chair Massage - $15, Table Massage - $45

Nutrition Counseling

Private consultation with a Peer Nutrition Counselor (PNC) is available for dietary analysis and to discuss general nutritional needs. PNCs are senior dietetics majors. Free session.

Pharmacy

Prescriptions are accepted from healthcare providers outside the SHC., over-the-counter medications are also available at low cost. View the list of our OTC products.

Travel & Immunization Clinic

Consultation is available for health concerns and recommended immunizations when traveling abroad. Appointments should be scheduled 4-6 weeks before travel. Consultation fee-$25- Immunizations- offered at low cost.
