Transfer Student Association (TSA)

The CSUN student-run Transfer Student Association has been established with the goal of creating a positive campus experience for incoming and current transfer students here at the University. Our main objective is foster academic, social, and career success through programs and services that aid in the transfer student's integration with the CSUN campus community. As a student advocacy group, the TSA will advocate for the needs and interests of the transfer student to the university at large.

The TSA is organized to assist in promoting transfer student participation in CSUN community events such as transfer student receptions, Open House, and a community college outreach mentoring program.

Interested students should contact Leroy Geter at (818) 677-5874 or via e-mail at leroy.geter@csun.edu

Tau Sigma

A National Honor Society for Transfer Students

About Tau Sigma:

Tau Sigma is a national academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students transferring to an institution of higher learning from another academic institution.

The first chapter of Tau Sigma was incorporated in 1999, at Auburn University. The chapter was born out of Auburn University's desire to improve its service to the recruitment and retention of transfer students.

The CSUN Chapter of Tau Sigma was chartered in Spring 2007 term, making this historic chapter the first of its kind in the CSU system and one of four in the entire State of California.

Tau Sigma members have become active at their universities by participating in activities such as on-campus recruiting events for prospective transfer students, transfer student orientation, community service projects, assisting outreach and admissions offices with the recruitment of prospective transfer students at community colleges, and participating in intramural sports and social events that allow them opportunities to academically and socially integrate into the campus life and community.
