Mission Statement

The Transfer Initiatives Project develops and implements programming and services which fosters the academic and social integration of new and continuing transfer students at the university.

Vision Statement

The vision of the Transfer Initiative Project is to foster a climate with the CSUN campus community which recognizes the value of the academic and social engagement as critical elements for enhancing the success and achievement of transfer students at CSUN.

Goals and Objectives

  • Facilitate successful transfer student transition through coordination of academically-related support services and enhancement and awareness activities.
  • Increase awareness of and visibility of services and support available for transfer students.
  • Provide pre-transfer and transition support and services that serve to acclimate transfer students to the university culture and campus community.
  • Enhance the awareness and quality of the transfer student experience at the university.
  • Collaborate with related campus departments to increase the number of transfer students through successful transition programs and services.
  • Collaborate with appropriate campus departments to evaluate transfer student data on an on-going basis.
