Each year four graduating seniors are presented with the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in recognition of academic excellence, contributions to campus and community, and exceptional achievements or personal life circumstances that have been overcome. These $1000 awards are funded by the Alumni Association, the University Foundation, and the Karen, Leon & Rita Goldstein-Saulter Memorial Fund. Each recipient will be presented at the annual Honors Convocation ceremony on Monday, May 20, 2013.
To be eligible, a student must have a degree award date of Fall 2012, Spring 2013 or Summer 2013. Only students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, either cumulative or in the last 60 units, will be considered. Students must complete the application form, including a Statement of Qualifications, and submit two letters of recommendation from faculty, staff or administrators. At least one of the recommendations must be from a member of the Cal State Northridge faculty.
NOTE: The Application Form and Statement of Qualifications must be completed and delivered to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, University Hall, Suite 310.
