Termination Prior to the End of Contract

Procedure For Termination Prior to the End of Contract

  1. Project Director
    • Determine necessity for termination
    • Notify TUC - Human Resources of termination
    • Inform TUC Payroll of agreement or disagreement of Vacation Accrual amounts to be paid out to employee
  2. The University Corporation - Human Resources
    • Perpare termination letter or can be written from PL with TUC HR review
    • May contact CSUN OHR, Employee Relations department if necessary
  3. Project Director
    • Conduct Termination Meeting with Employee
    • Receive Passwords for Voice Mail, E-Mail, and Computer
    • Receive Equipment, Keys, Parking Permit, ID-Card, Pager, and Cell Phone, etc.
  4. The University Corporation - Human Resources
    If applicable, conduct "Sign-Out Meeting" with employee
    • For Employee
      Employee Separation Form, Final Check, Cobra Information
    • For CSUN - Office of Human Resources (OHR)
      Copy of Separation Paperwork
    • For TUC - Payroll
      Copy of Separation Paperwork
