Matadors Rising: Political Science Department

This January, in New Orleans, Political Science students, Kimberly Caseres and Michelle Sadigh received valuable experience presenting their research at the 2018 Southern Political Science Association conference with faculty mentor, Prof. Tyler Hughes. Their paper, “Analyzing Non-Incremental Changes to Partisan Issue Attention in the U.S House of Representatives, 1989-2012,” examined the causes and consequences of partisan agenda setting in Congress. Kimberly Caseres also presented a research poster titled, “The Partisan Framing of Climate Change in the U.S. House of Representatives, 1989-2016.” Read more

CSUN’s Black House re-opening

Students, faculty, and visitors gathered to the north side of campus on Halsted St. for the grand re-opening of the CSUN Black House. Visitors gathered at the cream-colored house before the event began at 4 p.m. to talk among themselves, take photos and have refreshments (Source: The Sundial). Read more
