Alyssa Arentoft

Dr. Alyssa Arentoft joined our department this semester.  She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University in 2012. She completed her predoctoral internship training at West Los Angeles Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Healthcare Center in 2012 and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2014. Her research program focuses on health disparities—including cognitive deficits—among underrepresented and disenfranchised populations, particularly among individuals with HIV/AIDS. Her work employs a biopsychosociocultural framework, emphasizing the multifactorial nature of brain-behavior relationships and other health-related outcomes. She is also a licensed psychologist, specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology.
