Selected Publications and Presentations

He is the author or co-author of several books, including Strategic Planning in Environmental Regulation: A Policy Approach that Works, Environmental Deceptions, Thinking about the Environment, and Rethinking California: Politics and Policy in the Golden State.

Research and Interests

Dr. Cahn's research interests include: environmental policy, resource management, public policy, and California policy and politics. Dr. Cahn has been involved in several applied policy areas, ranging from transportation issues in metropolitan Los Angeles to the question of marine protected areas in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. Over the years, Dr. Cahn has taught at San Francisco State, San Jose State, the University of Southern California, and UC Santa Barbara.
