The Department of Anthropology’s Pimu Catalina Island Archaeological Field School is featured in an article (by Field School instructor Wendy Teeter) in the SAA Archaeological Record! The article details how the PCAIFS educates students about Tongva perspectives on the archaeological record, the environment, local history, and local culture and how to develop respectful, collaborative practices. The cover of the publication features a photo of field school student Jenna Rempfert and Field School Guest Lecturer Priscilla Naylor (Paiute). Launched in January 2001, The SAA Archaeological Record is issued five times a year.
