Call for Papers

We invite undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, to submit individual papers and panel proposals. Membership in Phi Alpha Theta is not required, but only members will be eligible for prizes for best undergraduate and graduate papers. The submission deadline is Sunday, March 25, 2017.

Please follow the formatting rules below when submitting your paper. Please submit your paper online in the form of a single Word document.

Required format for papers

Paper submissions must follow the format below. Please submit your paper as a single Word document. Incorrectly formatted papers will not be considered for prizes.

  • On the title page please list the following:
    • Name
    • Paper title
    • School name
    • Academic standing (undergraduate, graduate, or alumna/us)
    • Phi Alpha Theta member? (yes or no)
  • After your title page, a double-spaced paper no longer than ten pages, with a normal font size and margins.
  • After the paper, single-spaced endnotes (no page limit).
  • Remember to put all of the above in a single Word document.

Panel proposals

A proposed panel may have a maximum of four presenters. Each presenter must submit their paper separately, indicating the name of the panel on their title page. Conference organizers may add a presenter to a panel that has less than four presenters.

Audiovisual technology
