Dr. Lucks will discuss his recently published book Selma to Saigon, which explores the impact of the Vietnam War on the civil rights movement. He will examine the war’s impact on the lives of leaders such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Stokely Carmichael, as well as other activists like Muhammad Ali who faced the threat of military draft.
