Become Involved in the College

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences remains relevant through its strong connections with the surrounding community, both local and regional.

Our community of alumni, neighbors, and friends has numerous opportunities to become involved with the College.  Opportunities include:

  • Lectures.  College faculty and distinguished guests offer stimulating and thought-provoking lectures on a wide range of topics that are free to the public.  Visit the News and Events page for information on upcoming lectures and other events.
  • Professor for a Day.  Business and industry leaders have the opportunity to step out of the office and into the classroom, where they teach a class in their area of expertise and enjoy a “sabbatical” from their workplace for a few hours.
  • Internships.  Our students expand their knowledge and scholarship through applied internships in the “real world.”  Internships are one of the most important ways we serve the public and private sector while enhancing the education of our students.
  • Alumni activities.  Alumni of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences can stay active with their alma mater.  For more information, visit the University’s alumni website, /alumni

The College is extraordinarily proud of our many accomplished graduates.  Learn about some of our alumni at our Alumni Spotlight page.
