Dear Director:

Per California law AB 1825, employers are required to have all “supervisory” staff go through a two (2) hour Sexual Harassment Training session by December 31, 2005.  

Supervisor is defined for this purpose as:

“… any individual having the authority "to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline other employees, or the responsibility to direct them, or to adjust their grievances, or effectively to recommend that action... if the exercise of that authority is not of a merely routine or clerical nature, but requires the use of independent judgment." 

Please provide the following information for all of your supervisory staff to lynn.marks@csun.edu by October 31, 2005.  See attached spreadsheet for your convenience.

-	name, 
-	e-mail address, 
-	telephone #, and 
-	CSUN or TUC employee

We have contracted with Workplace Answers to complete our training through their web-based training program.  Your employees will receive an e-mail directly from Workplace Answers.  Please inform them of this training and alert them that Workplace Answers e-mail is not “spam” or junk mail.

CSUN employees will be contacted by the CSUN Human Resources Department regarding their required Sexual Harassment training.
