The San Fernando Valley Economic Research Center focuses on the economy of the San Fernando Valley
The San Fernando Valley Economic Forecast
The CSUN Economic Forecast is developed specifically for the Valley and is based on an econometric model of the Valley's economy that relates local industry sectors to one-another, to the Valley's population, employment, income, and other demographics. Our model is linked to the Los Angeles County forecast proved by the California Economic Forecast, and to the California and National projections contained in the well-respected UCLA Anderson Forecast. The Valley's economic forecast is also informed by a survey of medium and large Valley businesses in key industries.San Fernando Valley Economic Report
The Economic Report provides unique data series that document the recent trends and current levels of Valley employment, payroll, business size, unemployment, commercial, industrial, and residential real estate markets, special industries, demographics, assistance programs, schools, crime, air quality, and infrastructure among others. The Center began producing this report in 1998 and recent editions include over 100-pages of data and analysis. The current 2005-2006 report will be the last annual Economic Report and will be replaced with several more detailed reports throughout the year. Online copies of past reports can be obtained through this website and hard-bound copies can be purchased through the Center.SFVERC Advisory Board
