THE CENTER FOR SEX AND GENDER RESEARCH
The Center for Sex and Gender Research promotes multi- and interdisciplinary research, creative activity, learning, and sharing of knowledges about sex, gender, and sexuality among CSUN students, staff and faculty and communities off-campus.
Housed in the College of Humanities, the Center for Sex and Gender Research brings together the considerable experience of CSUN faculty in disciplines across the University, as well as students, staff and community members. We present lectures, colloquia, panel discussions, a monthly faculty discussion group, and other events to promote intellectual community.
Together with CSUN's Center for Ethics and Values, we will present a film series during the 2009-10 academic year.We also work closely with the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Alliance, the Human Sexuality Program, the Queer Studies Program, the Department of Gender and Women's Studies, and the Oviatt Library at Cal State Northridge, as well as the Center for the Study of Genders and Sexualities at Cal State Los Angeles.
The Center for Sex and Gender Research does not receive a budget from the University and therefore relies on the good will and generosity of our supporters to make our events and activities possible.
