Rationale
Your electronic portfolio serves as the comprehensive exam for the Masters in Science Education Program. It is complied over the two-year program and is the evidence of the work you have completed to earn the M.Ed. degree.
Portfolio Components:
Research (40%)
- Research Paper (SED 600, 625SC, 690, 697)
Curriculum (40%)
- Position Paper (SED 690)
- Curriculum Design/Mentoring Log (SED 610)
- Laboratory Curriculum (SED 695B)
- Course of Study Reflection Paper (SED 697)
Presentation (20%)
- Website showing components listed above (SED 619)
- Live presentation of research
Grading (Pass, no Pass)
- Each component (with the exception of the Research Paper) is graded in the class where it was assigned. A satisfactory grade on each component (B or above) allows that component to be accepted as part of your portfolio.
- The Research Paper is assessed by the Science Education Faculty and must receive a passing grade (B or above).
