Cheryl's History
- Cheryl was born in Kansas City, Missouri in1957.
- In 1963, when she was six, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she started 1st Grade.
- In the summer of 1964 she moved to North Hills to the home where her parents still reside.
- Cheryl and her mother started at Gledhill Street School together, her Mom as a teacher assistant. She graduated as a straight “A” student in 1969 and knew then she wanted to become a teacher.
- She attended Holmes Junior High School in Northridge, again, graduating with Honors as a straight “A” student in 1972.
- She attended Monroe High School, again, graduating with Honors as Valedictorian and straight “A” student in 1976.
- She continued her education at the University of California Santa Barbara, again, graduating with Honors in 1980. She followed up with a year to receive her Masters Degree in Education.
- Cheryl and Joe met at UCSB and married in 1981 and lived in Mission Hills until 1998 when they moved into their current home in Granada Hills.
- The twins Allison and Sarah were born in 1985.
- Cheryl and Joe celebrated their 25thAnaversery with a trip to England in 2007.
- Since 1984, Cheryl has worked at Valley Presbyterian School as a classroom teacher and finally, in the reading Lab, as the reading specialist working with kids that needed extra help. She loved and enjoyed working with the kids.
