We are Building a Community of Scholars

The Northridge Scholarship Program embodies our commitment at California State University, Northridge to support and advance the academic excellence of our best and brightest students.

Under the aegis of the Northridge Scholarship Program, Cal State Northridge is pleased to offer the University Scholarship Award for freshman applicants and continuing students, and for our highest-performing students who have completed at least 60 units of coursework, the prestigious Presidential Scholars Award.

These awards were established to strengthen the undergraduate student academic culture of the University by creating an incentive for academic success, by setting high standards for achievement, and by recognizing those students who achieve these goals. Students in the program will find themselves challenged, motivated and energized through honors coursework, gatherings with other student scholars, and opportunities to work closely with faculty. The financial support provided by the scholarship is intended to allow students to focus on their academic pursuits, whether they involve preparation for graduate and professional work, or careers immediately upon graduation. The Northridge Scholarship Program exists to help our most outstanding students fulfill their potential to be the academic and community leaders of tomorrow.
