Gina Masequesmay, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in Asian American Studies at California State University, Northridge.
Her research interest is on the intersection of race/ethnicity, class, gender and sexuality. She focuses on Asian American varied genders and sexualities.
She is currently working on three projects:
1. Positive Space Program provides, through the Ally Project, trainings on how to become a friend and advocate for the gay/ lesbian/ bisexual/ transgender/ intersexed/ queer/ questioning campus community.
2. Manuscript on the intersection of race, class, gender and sexuality from my dissertation research on a queer Vietnamese lesbian, bisexual and female-to-male transgender support group.
3. Doing volunteer work in 3 different humanitarian organizations in Vietnam for 5 months.
