Exhibition to Showcase Art by CSUN Students
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 22, 2006) -- Cal State Northridge will showcase some of the best work by its graduate and undergraduate art students in its "Annual Juried Student Art Show"April 28 through June 2 at the university.
The popular exhibition features work in a variety of media including animation, computer design, graphic design, fiber/fabric, video drawing, ceramics, painting, printmaking, illustration, sculpture and more.
The 80 to 90 works in the show were selected from more than 400 entries by artist and painter Man One and Kathy Zimmerer, director of the art gallery at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The selected works will be on display in the university's Art Galleries on the north end of the campus off Halsted Street east of Etiwanda Avenue.
The galleries' hours are Monday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., and Thursday, noon to 8 p.m.
The reception celebrating the opening is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 28. A gallery talk on the exhibition will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 1.
