CSUN Students to Deliver Books, Toys to Needy Children

What:

Cal State Northridge students will deliver a little sunshine into the lives of some needy children when they deliver new books and toys to children attending Milagro Charter Elementary School in Los Angeles.

The students, members of CSUN’s University Ambassador program, sold more than 1,000 $1 donation cards, raised an additional $3,000 in grant money, held a book fair and set up collection boxes across the campus to accept presents and raise money for their “Cuddle N’ Read” drive. Much of the effort took place during the holidays. The students made some deliveries at that time, but were determined to continue their efforts beyond Christmas.

The CSUN students expect to deliver toys and books to approximately 135 children.
