CSUN Conference to Give Families Tools to Make It in College
What:
More than 1,500 parents and students from the San Fernando Valley will converge on Cal State Northridge Saturday for the 11th annual "College: Making It Happen" family conference.
The conference provides parents and students the opportunity to learn about colleges and universities. It emphasizes the required academic preparation for college success, how parents can positively impact student achievement, and financing a college education. The day will feature activities for the entire family, from pre-kindergarten to high school students and their parents. It will also include a workshop for transfer students and middle school administrators.
