CSUN Students to Deliver Books, Toys to Needy Children
What:
Cal State Northridge students hope to make the holidays a little merrier for some low-income children when they deliver hundreds of books and toys to three local Head Start sites and a local elementary school Friday.
The CSUN students, members of CSUN’s University Ambassador program, with the support of Northridge President Jolene Koester, sold about 1,000 $1 donation cards, raised an additional $3,000 in grant money, held a book fair and set up collection boxes across the campus to accept presents and raise money toward the ‘Cuddle N’ Read Drive.”
The students expect to deliver toys and books to approximately 700 children.
