Students Interested in Transferring to CSUN Have 5 Days Left to Apply

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Sept. 23, 2005) -- Upper-division transfer students interested in attending Cal State Northridge this spring should submit their applications as soon as possible.

The campus will no long be accepting applications after the close of business on Friday, Sept. 30. The university has already reached the maximum number of applications it can accommodate from first-time freshman and lower-division transfer students. However, students interested in getting a graduate degree from the university can continue to submit applications after the deadline.

Students hoping to beat the deadline can apply online by visiting www.csumentor.edu.

Students are eligible for admission to CSUN if they:

  • have completed, or will complete prior to enrollment, basic general education coursework in English composition, oral communication, critical thinking and college-level mathematics with a grade of “C” or better;
  • have a grade point average of 2.0 or better (2.4 for non-California residents) in all transferable college units attempted;
  • are in good standing at the college or university they attended (i.e., they are eligible to re-enroll); and
  • have completed, or will complete prior to enrollment, 60 or more transferable units.

Interested students are encouraged to provide official transcripts and other related documents to the university’s admissions office as soon as possible.
