The Pride Center Connects CSUN’s Deaf and LGBTQ Communities with “Deaf Queer Coffee” Monthly at the University Student Union

WHAT:

The Pride Center at the University Student Union (USU) invites all who identify as members of CSUN’s LGBTQ and Deaf communities and their allies to come together over coffee, snacks and American Sign Language at “Deaf Queer Coffee”. Come to the Pride Center for welcoming conversation and new connections – all for FREE!

WHO:

Felix Villarreal, Student Pride Center Assistant, is responsible for putting on this event.

WHEN:

The last Thursday of the month on Sept. 28, Oct. 26, and Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.

WHERE:

Pride Center, second floor of the Sol Center at the University Student Union.

WHY:

Bring the deaf and queer community closer together in an inclusive environment.

BACKGROUND:

Whether you identify as part of the LGBTQ community, the deaf community, both or neither, you are welcome to take part in this special monthly event. All ASL signing levels are invited to attend as well.
