“Rainbow Graduation” Celebration Gives Special Recognition to All LGBTQ Graduates

April 27, 2017

Northridge — The Pride Center and Queer Studies invites all graduating LGBTQ students, Queer Studies Minors, allies and other members of the LGBTQ community to attend this year’s “Rainbow Graduation” on Friday, May 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Northridge Center at the University Student Union. This special ceremony will recognize the academic accomplishment of all participating graduates and celebrate this personal milestone while embracing their connection to the LGTBQ community. All attending graduates are encouraged to invite family and friends to share this special moment.

“It is really important for LGBTQ graduates to celebrate their success at CSUN and proudly embrace this accomplishment as part of their identities,” said Sarina Loeb, Pride Center Coordinator. “The Pride Center is proud to present such a fun and memorable ceremony that allows graduates to fully embrace who they are and what they’ve achieved.”

The Pride Center and Queer Studies have designed the annual “Rainbow Graduation” celebration as an inclusive, welcoming, colorful and enjoyable ceremony for LGBTQ graduates and their loved ones. Attendees will enjoy inspirational speakers, free food and the presentation of scholarship award winners.

RSVP for “Rainbow Graduation” before Friday, May 12. For more information about this event and the Pride Center, please contact Pride Center Coordinator, Sarina Loeb at or visit the Pride Center website at www.csun.edu/pride
