“QTPOC Conversations” Offers Queer and Trans* People of Color a Welcoming Place to Meet

August 31, 2016

Northridge —The Pride Center at the University Student Union (USU) invites all queer and trans* people of color to a weekly meeting exclusively for them. Starting Wednesday, Sep. 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and continuing every Wednesday until Nov. 9, “QTPOC Conversations” encourages participants to explore topics surrounding the intersection of LGBTQ and POC identities in a safe and welcoming environment.

“There aren’t many resources to specifically address the issues faced by people who identify as both LGBTQ and POC,” said Pride Center Coordinator Sarina Loeb. “QTPOC Conversations is the perfect place for people who identify with this particular intersectionality to discuss their experiences and support each other.”

Participants will help each other navigate the CSUN campus, bridge communities together and discuss topics most relevant to all attendees.  For more information on “QTPOC Conversations” or the Pride Center, please visit www.csun.edu/pride or contact the Pride Center at .
