Participate in the follow up CSU webcast on budget strategies

On June 1, 2012, CSU Executive Vice Chancellor Benjamin F. Quillian, Executive Vice Chancellor Ephraim P. Smith, and Vice Chancellor Gail Brooks released an invitation to members of the California State University community to participate in a June 11 budget strategies meeting. This meeting is in follow up to the meeting of the Systemwide Budget Advisory Committee that was webcast on May 23.

Below is the message from Interim President Harry Hellenbrand to the campus community about the June 11 webcast:

June 4, 2012

On May 23, 2012, the CSU webcast a meeting of the Systemwide Budget Advisory Committee, a group with broad representation that advises the Chancellor and his executive staff on support budget issues. The number from Cal State Northridge who viewed the meeting reflects the deep engagement that exists here for the serious challenges that face the CSU in the current budget environment.

As follow up to that meeting, the CSU has scheduled a second webcast on Monday, June 11, from 9 to 11 a.m., to provide more time and opportunity for the greater CSU community to comment.

The webcast will be live-streamed on campus at the same location as the earlier meeting—in the Jack and Florence Ferman Presentation Room in the lower level of the Oviatt Library. Chris Xanthos, Director of Administrative Services for Administration and Finance, will again serve as the facilitator for the event.

The Chancellor’s Office memo contains instructions on how questions can be submitted prior to the meeting.
